"I avoid my side profile."

The loose skin and fullness under the chin: it quietly took over your profile, and it's one of the few changes no cream or exercise touches. A neck lift removes what changed and gives you back the line between your jaw and your neck.

You don't have to be sure. You just have to be curious.

Is surgery right for you?

You've gotten good at avoiding it. Chin up in photos without thinking about it. Skin that's come loose below the jaw, bands that weren't there before, fullness sitting where the line of your jaw used to be.

If any of that is you, what you cannot know from a webpage is whether what you are seeing calls for a neck lift alone or whether addressing the face at the same time would serve you better. That's exactly what Dr. Schimpf communicates in a consultation.

Defined jawline and neck after surgery

What Surgery Does and Doesn't

What it does

  • You get your jawline back. The loosened muscle underneath is tightened and the excess skin removed, so the line between jaw and neck is clean again. Not stretched into place, rebuilt from underneath.
  • You get a neck that stops drawing attention. The bands smooth out. The fullness under the chin goes. The neck stops being the thing you see first, and goes back to being something you don't think about at all.
  • You get a result that looks like you.A profile that reads as rested, not treated. Dr. Schimpf's standard is that no one should be able to tell.

The consultation is where you find out which procedure might be best for you.

What You Don't Have To Worry About

  • Looking pulled or overdone. The work is done on the underlying muscle and tissue, which is what makes results look natural rather than tight.
  • Looking like someone else. The aim is you, restored. A defined neck that reflects the face you already have.
  • Being recommended surgery you don't need.If a smaller procedure or combination serves you better, that is the recommendation.

The consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch.

Recovery

What recovery is really like.

Most patients are comfortable returning to daily activities within one to two weeks. Swelling and bruising are most visible in the first few days and fade steadily from there. The final contour continues to refine over several months. Dr. Schimpf will walk you through the realistic timeline for your specific plan.
